Said participants were given ample time to express their apprehensions and fears about receiving the vaccine which were answered by the CHO officers during the open forum.

Rowena Sabangan, Nurse Supervisor, and Gretel Fegidero, Health Education and Promotion Officer of CHO emphasized the importance of the free vaccine provided by the government and that individuals should not worry because they will undergo a thorough health assessment before the vaccination period.

Fegidero said that one of the challenges during the series of information drive is convincing participants to get vaccinated since most of them resist the idea but she is hopeful that eventually they will submit to vaccination because it’s the only way to protect themselves from the perils of COVID-19.

So far, barangay residents showed mixed reactions but most of them wanted to be vaccinated.

The City Health Office targets to finish its orientation dissemination campaign on COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination next week.
