Twenty seven active cases the other day rose to 52 cases, yesterday.

EOC Manager Joe Recalex Alingasa Jr. said that according to the Department of Health (DOH) provincial office, San Carlos City is the highest in the province in terms of local transmission. He stressed that among the recent increase, 16 were locally transmitted with 60 close contacts to be subjected to swab testing; putting Brgy. 1 as hot spot.

EOC Commander Dr. Wilmer Yap on the other hand pointed out that residents should avoid social gatherings and parties since contact tracing reports said that some of the patients who were asymptomatic attended birthday party and drinking spree.

He cited that the EOC should work on something especially on social media to warn people about social gatherings and parties as these posed great risks for COVID-19 transmission.

COVID-19 active cases in the city already lowered down to 5 on March 1, 2021 and increased one on March 7, 2021 after which March 8 to 10 manifested zero case.

Active case for today is now at 50 from the total of 622 cases with 38 deaths and 534 recoveries.
