
City Turns-over New Classroom Building

Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo formally turned-over the 2-classroom building at Igmamatay Elementary School in Brgy. Codcod to the local Department of Education ealier today, April 30.

Said project worth P2.15M was funded thru the Special Education Fund (SEF). A Home Economics Building is also set to be constructed at said school soon.
Project Engineer Rodney Flores said the building followed the standard specification for construction required by the DepEd.

Along said event, 25 teachers of Cabagtasan, Bedio and Igmamatay Elementary Schools also received laptops by the city government of San Carlos.
A total of 10 Million pesos was allocated for more than a hundred units of laptops including printers for each school which will be distributed soon.
Anthony Liobet, CESO IV, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd San Carlos, said they are very overwhelmed with the local government’s support in the education sector.
He added that it is more than enough help since their needs were adressed gradually.
Moonyeen Abeto Ponting, Principal of Igmamatay was very thankful for the donations they received.
