City Wraps Up Seniors’ Mobile Vaccination

The local government unit of San Carlos thru the Emergency Operations Center -Vaccine Cluster (EOC-VC) and the City Health Office (CHO) ended the mobile vaccination of senior citizens in the urban areas today June 1, at Barangay One covered court.

The four-day mobile vaccination which began last May 27, 2021 yielded a total of 953 elderlies vaccinated including a total of 230 recipients as of today only.
Seniors from Barangays 1 to 6 and Rizal were given the Sinovac and Aztrazeneca shots; 937 of them got vaccinated with Aztrazeneca while 16 with Sinovac.

During the four-day vaccination, seniors’ health status and history were checked as well as get their blood-pressure prior to the inoculation. A serving of porridge was also offered to every recipient of the vaccines while waiting for their turn after which they were guided to the designated area for observation.

Dr. Romeo Agraviador, CHO resident Doctor encouraged everyone to participate in the vaccination to get the needed protection from the COVID-19.

He added that it would be an advantage to get vaccinated since it could possibly become a requirement for future transactions especially during travels.

Meanwhile, Cris Ian Caballero, CHO nurse and EOC-VC member said the off-site vaccination scheduled in the rural areas tomorrow was cancelled. He added that Barangay personnel have yet to get individuals in their area into the master list before actual vaccination takes place.
