City Extends Financial Aid to Fire Victims

The local government of San Carlos City extended another financial aid to fire victims, Jan. 24.

A total of 11 families of So. Trozo, Brgy. Buluangan who were victims of fire on Dec. 22, 2021 received P9,300 each for their totally damaged houses from the City Treasurer’s Office facilitated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

CSWD Officer Cynthia Mirande urged beneficiaries to use the money wisely and prioritize their essential needs especially now that they’re starting to recover from their losses.

She added that the city government is finding ways to always provide financial assistance to calamity victims.

Mary Ann Sombise, 30-year-old mother, thanked the local government for the assistance and said she will use the money to buy materials for their temporary shelter at the location where their former house was razed by fire.

She also hoped that they will be relocated soon.
