People with Schizophrenia are among the most common mental disorders catered while some were anxiety and depression.

Carlos Ramon Solidarios, Nurse III of the CHO and facilitator of Special Mental Health Program said that they conducted the said event because of the scarcity of the specific medicines needed by the clients.

Solidarios was very thankful to Dr. Angelo Jesus Vicente Villegas Arias, Psychiatrist, Board of Director of Philippine Psychiatric Association, and accredited physician of the Department of Health who conducted said activity for bringing specific medicines that are not available in the local pharmacies.

Dr. Arias said that severe mental disorders should be taken care of as it could get worse over time where the patient may start experiencing hallucination, lack of sleep and depression that may lead to suicide.

Arias welcomed every patient and provided them the medicines according to their needs; gave tips in handling the side effects.

Said consultation is part of City Health’s monthly advocacy towards a sound mental health which is done every month. The next schedule of consultation will be on April 20, 2022 at the City Health Office.
