BFP-San Carlos Caps Fire Prevention Month Campaign

The Bureau of Fire Protection-San Carlos culminated the month-long observance of Fire Prevention Month by recognizing stakeholders, public and private partners last March 31, 2022 at the Barrio Fiesta Hall.

San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo, Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona, Cong. Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. of the First District of Negros Occidental led the distribution of plaques and tokens to the awardees who helped the bureau in strengthening its campaign towards fire safety.

Awardees include the Philippine National Police(PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology(BJMP), Special Rescue Force-Negros Occidental for national offices while the Office of the City Mayor, Sangguniang Panlungsod Office, City Budget Office, City Accounting Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Engineering Department, General Service Department, City Information Office, Department of Education(DepEd) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government(DILG) for local government units while business establishments include Maria Awani Hotel and Suites, San Carlos Palau Hotel, Inc., San Carlos Bioenergy, Inc., San Carlos Solar Energy, Inc., San Carlos Sun Power, Inc., FB Travellers Inn, Fast Autoworld Philippines Corporation, Pryce Gas, Inc., Tai-Pan Development, Inc., Kenneth Construction, Isidro’s General Repair Shop, Mom’s Small Hotel and Restaurant, PO’s Negros Fiesta and LPG Trading and Unitop General Merchandise.

City Fire Marshall C/INSP Vencie Jojo Aldeguer thanked the city government and its public and private partners for their continuous support to their programs.

Aldeguer was thankful that they only recorded minor fire incidents in the city and were able to do their job efficiently like the conduct of regular information drives to establish fire-safe communities.

Mayor Gustilo also lauded the BFP for their effectiveness wherein he said personally that he witnessed how the firefighters responded during the Parola Fire incident in August 2021 where they were able to contain the fire from spreading to other neighboring zones.

Also present during the event were An Waray Partylist Representative Florencio Noel; Maria Fatima Daiz, Local Government Operations Officer VII and North Cluster Head and PLt. Roby Aurita, Deputy for Administration of Philippine National Police (PNP) San Carlos.
