Hygiene Kits Distributed to Far-Flung Schools
AUGUST 4, 2022
The Philippine Red Cross – San Carlos Branch led by Honorary Chairman City Mayor Rene Gustilo and Branch Chairman Joe Recalex Alingasa Jr. distributed hygiene kits to far-flung schools last Aug. 2, at the City Mayor’s Office.

A total of six hygiene kits were given to representatives of the elementary schools of Lagha Extension, Cabunao, Nataban, Malindog, Prosperidad, and Quezon.
Alingasa said that the activity is part of the Wash, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Project of the Philippine Red Cross in collaboration with Procter & Gamble (P&G) Company.
He added that they prioritized these six schools since they are among the first schools to open for face-to-face classes while other schools will also receive said kits in another batch.
Dennis Develos, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent was thankful to the local government for the said donation which the schools and students needed much since the pandemic is still ongoing.
Develos added that this initiative is another milestone for the government in addressing the gaps and other concerns of the schools.
On the other hand, Rosemarie Mahinay, Principal of Cabunao ES expressed her gratitude for the hygiene kits they received and cited that the kits will be placed in the school clinic for the usage of all students.
