San Carlos City Local Government Employees Take Oath

The employees consist of 201 newly appointed and 112 promoted workers. Those under the executive branch took their oath before San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo while those under the legislative branch, took oath before Vice Mayor Christopher Paul S. Carmona.
On behalf of the promoted employees, Joe Recalex Alingasa Jr., City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer expressed his gratitude to the city official who believed in their potential to become part of the highly-esteemed, worth emulating, and one of the most awarded and dynamic local government units in the country.
He also said that trust plays a role in giving them the opportunity and that opportunity, should be reciprocated with loyalty not only to the leaders, as well as to the service philosophy and the institution represented.
He also urged fellow public servants to remain humble and optimistic beyond any unprecedented challenges.
A total of 313 employees of the city government of San Carlos officially took their oath of office last Sept. 16 at the City Auditorium.
New entrant, Dr. Julie Ann Mateo of the City Hospital, also encouraged the employees to strive to be responsible and productive citizens and refrain from asking what the city can do for the people rather, do what can be done as citizens for the betterment of the city and the people.
Mayor Gustilo on the other hand shared his experiences before he entered the government service and reminded the employees to be loyal, humble and to look back where they came from in order to achieve success.
Gustilo said, a person has to exert more effort to be a public servant to become efficient in his service.
City Vice Mayor Carmona congratulated the promoted employees and said that the promotion means the local officials value their efforts and contributions in maintaining the local government’s best practices and motivating them to do more.
He also wished that the new entrants may be able to contribute to the smooth functioning of their respective offices.
Most of the said employees were already employed a couple of years earlier but were not able to take their oath due to the pandemic.
