Participating teams include Classico Football Clubs A and B, Cebu City Mojitos Football Club, MB Balbacua, University of Negross Occidental Recoletos (UNO-R), Colegio De Sta. Rita- Football Club (CSR FC), Pocholo C. Yuvienco (PCY) Team, Ardore Football Club-Reborn, Capuge Football Club, Skeptron Football Club, Chavales Football Club Barbados Football Club, Gerardo P Valmayor (GPV) Team, Dolphins Football Club, Sagay City, and Silay Football Clubs in Men’s and Women’s Open Categories.
Another set of participants under the Men’s Category will compete tomorrow October 16 in the same venue.
Roderick A. Parel, San Carlos Negros Football Club General Secretary said that the event aimed at encouraging grassroots players to continue joining sports and motivate others.
He is also hoping that the city will soon have facilities for futsal so players can comfortably and safely play since hard courts can be dangerous for athletes.
Parel also extended his gratitude to City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo, other city officials, and the Board of Directors of Football Club (BOD) for always supporting the athletes.
