
Triathletes from All Over the Philippines Competed in the Local Triathlon Event

At least 130 triathletes from Luzon to Mindanao areas in the Philippines competed in the Pintaflores Triathlon consisting of a 1-kilometer swim, 30-kilometer bike, and 8-kilometer run, yesterday, Nov. 20.
The said race was among the last events organized in line with the celebration of the 30th Pintaflores Festival facilitated by the San Carlos Association of Mountain Bikers (SCAMB) in cooperation with the local government of San Carlos City.

Road Bike Elite Men’s and Women’s categories winners received P10,000,

3rd place while relay winners were given P8,000,
1st place; P6,000, 2nd place; and P4,000, 3rd place.
Jose Angelo Cosas, president of the SCAMB was grateful for the success of the first-ever traditional triathlon where all participants finished the race.
He added that he looked forward to organizing the Olympic triathlon distances consisting of a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-kilometer bike, and 10-kilometer run next year.
