Chaco Molina, Fundacion Santiago Executive Director, said the assessment aimed at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the program for better implementation.
He also said that they wanted to learn from the local teams that they can impart to other schools they visit, and know what help to provide.
He also thanked the local government headed by City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo, Congressman Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. of the first district of Negros Occidental, and Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson for the support saying without their help the program will not exist.
Meanwhile, Dennis Peñalosa of the City Sports Office and SIPA Program Head Coach shared that the evaluators commended the program during the assessment.
Xianne Dee Saludar Berja, a 12-year-old SIPA program beneficiary of Congressman Vicente Gustilo Sr. Memorial School (CVGSMS) said the program taught her the values of teamwork, hard work, and commitment.
Jose Miguel Valmayor, San Carlos City Negros Football Club vice president was also present during the assessment.
The City Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office and City Sports Office facilitated the event.
