
First San Carlos City Football League Kicks Off

The San Carlos City Football Club (SCCFC) started the first San Carlos City Football League/League 1 (Men’s Open Category) last night, Mar. 2 at the City Sports Park, Football Pitch.
League 1 is the city’s first longest tournament program patterned after the professional standards of organization which will run until the 1st week of June 2023.









City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo, Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona, Representative of the 1st District of Negros Occidental Gerardo Valmayor Jr., Jose Miguel Valmayor, SCCFC vice president and Kristoff Carmona, Executive Assistant, led the opening.
At least 12 teams participated in the event which include Grassroots Futbol de Rio FC, Don Juan United FC, Pocholo Yuvienco Football Club (PCY FC), Chavales FC, MB Balbacua, Skeptron FC, Batang X, Barbados FC, Capuge FC, Ardore-Juan FC (A and B), Gerardo Valmayor Football Club (GPV FC), and Club de los Hermanos de Futbol from Escalante City.
Pocholo Yuvienco, SCCFC President aimed at giving former professional and varsity players venue to still play the game they love after their regular works and inspiring young football players to learn from the quality games they play.
Yuvienco thanked the city government and city officials for the support and free use of facilities.
Also present during the said event were SP Members Jeffrey Hidalgo, Dr. Wilmer Yap, and Mark Cui, and former club president Engr. Alfredo Martin Cui.
