
DSWD-6 Turns Over Financial Grants to Vulnerable Sector

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Office handed over P2.7M to nine farmers associations in San Carlos City thru the DSWD-PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn(PAMANA) program, yesterday, March 22.






Each association president received a P300,000 check for Bedio Farmers Irrigators Association, Kalupaan Farmers Association, MACKATA Integrated ISF Association, Bangon Punao Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA), Kababaihan Asosasyon sang Brgy. Palampas, Buluangan Rice Retailing SLPA, Nataban Community PAMANA Store, Mauswagon Prosperidad SLPA, and Sipaway PAMANA Beneficiary Association identified as geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas and conflict-affected and vulnerable areas.
The distribution of the checks took place at the San Carlos City Mayor’s Office with the DSWD-Negros Occidental Field Office headed by Prov’l Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Joanna Rose L. Castillo in the presence of City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo and City Social Welfare and Dev’t Office OIC Edena S. Dagondon.
The PAMANA is the Philippine government’s framework for peace and development, with DSWD as one of the agencies supporting its implementation by providing socio-economic projects and other interventions to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas and conflict-affected and vulnerable areas.
