BFP Orients Public About Traverse Line

MARCH 28, 2023

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-San Carlos with BFP-Negros Occidental Special Rescue Force (SRF) set up a Traverse Line yesterday afternoon, March 27, at the CenterMall ground.
Said activity is part of the observance of Fire Protection Month, open to all individuals, including children, who want to experience traversing, which is helpful when a fire emergency breaks out.
City Fire Marshal Chief Inspector Rufino Tañedo Jr. said Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo was the one who initiated the activity.

FO1 Jeffrey Anobling BFP-San Carlos Public Information Officer said teaching people about the traverse line aimed at providing awareness to the community and individuals on how patients or victims are crossed point to point during rescue operations.
The activity enabled several adults and children, including Josh Nathaniel Bantillo, 5 years old, of Brgy. Punao; Joithar Comayao, 3 years old of South Villa 2, Brgy. Palampas; and Keziah Hailey Arbon, 3 years old, to try crossing the line.
The children were all excited to try, but when they reached the top, fear overcame them, but eventually, they successfully crossed the line with the assistance of the BFP personnel.
San Carlos City Mayor Gustilo also dropped by the said area to see how the event was going.
