
BFP Wraps up Fire Prevention Month Observation

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-San Carlos City culminated the observance of Fire Prevention Month carrying the theme: Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, hindi ka nag-iisa!, today, March 31.
Winners of the different contests during the monthlong activities like essay writing, poster making, Inter-barangay Fire Olympics, and Bihis Firefighter Pets Costum, were awarded plaques and cash.















Government agencies, including the Information Office, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Environment Management Office, Philippine National Polic, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, schools, private companies and organizations such as SaCaSol, Biopower, Fil-Chinese Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade, Gaisano Capital-San Carlos, McDonald’s among others stakeholders were also acknowledged, and given certificates for their invaluable support and active participation in said observance of the Fire Prevention Month.
Chief Inspector Rufino Tañedo Jr., City Fire Marshal, warmly welcomed stakeholders, guest speaker, and participants; congratulated everyone for the success of the monthlong activities.
Tañedo said the various events that showcased talents and knowledge of the different sectors helped raise awareness about fire safety and ensure family safety when a fire breaks out.
Guest speaker Atty. Pierra F. Lamayo, LGOO VI of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) commended the firefighters and thanked the BFP partners, stakeholders, and community for working tirelessly and professionally to make the Fire Prevention Month successful.
