City Library Donates Books to Rural School
APRIL 28, 2023
The San Carlos City Public Library donated various reading materials to rural schools in the city thru its community outreach program, Brigada Aklatan from April 27-28.
The two recipients were Quezon National High School (QNHS) in Barangay Quezon and Bagonbon NHS in Brgy. Bagonbon. At least 607 books were turned over, 310 to BNHS and 297 to QNHS, consisting of textbooks, reference books, and magazines.

Mariza Villasor, Assistant Principal II of QNHS, and Homeylin Birondo, Teacher III of BNHS, thanked the local government unit of San Carlos and the City Library for choosing them as recipients of the books.
Said reading references would aid the students academically and capacitate them with additional knowledge.
City Librarian Stella Fetiluna said they aim to serve schools and Barangay libraries in remote areas of the city, bringing the city library services closer to the people and introducing students to the love of reading.
Fetiluna hoped by the next book donation, they could provide more books, especially to students in need, and she looked forward to serving everyone in the community.
