Local Planning Office Introduces KoBo Toolbox Application

The local government unit of San Carlos, thru the City Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office (CPDCO), introduced KoBo Toolbox in the 2-day training on Mobile Data Collection and Geotagging from May 9-10 at the SP Session Hall.

Said training is participated by engineers and aides of the CPDCO, City Engineering Department, and City Waterworks Department, where resource persons Joseph Jan Lobaton, Draftsman II; Engr. Dhebeth Suralta and Sylmariz Marie Bingaan, Statistician Aide of CPDCO, talked about the introduction to Geographic Information System (GIS), Unified Mapping/Data Collection, and the introduction to the KoBo application installation.
Lobaton said San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo and City Planning and Development Coordinator and CED OIC Engr. Magnolia Antonio mandated their office to equip the engineers and their aides handling various projects in the local government with Kobo Toolbox for easier access to any information regarding project status.
He added Kobo is a powerful app relevant to data gathering currently used by the local planning office in household profiling. Lobaton also said engineers are required to report developments of their projects periodically thru the application.
One of the participants, Engr. John Leur Virtucio of CED said the app is beneficial in updating their department on the status of various projects and developments in the city.
