City Turns over P.8 Million Multimedia Equipment to Public Schools

The local government unit (LGU) of San Carlos City turned over the P800,000 worth of multimedia equipment to public schools yesterday, May 15, at the Julio Ledesma National High School Covered Court.
 
The Special Program in the Arts (SPA) of Tandang Sora Elementary School received a computer desktop, uninterruptable power supplies, automatic voltage regulators, USB MIDI performance keyboard controllers, and a DSLR camera with a total cost of P200,000 taken from the Special Education Fund (SEF) calendar year 2022.
Meanwhile, the SPA and Arts and Design Track (ADT) of Julio Ledesma National High School received powered and portable speakers, wireless microphone systems, microphone stands with folding tripod bases, audio interfaces, condenser microphones, musical keyboards, standard microphone stands, sound monitors, lapel microphones, microphone boom poles, sound mixers, studio reflection microphone filters, music sheet stands, compact digital wireless microphone systems, 180W wash lights, light stands, a folding drafting tabletop, camera drones, and gimbals worth P600,000 also taken from the SEF calendar year 2021.
 
City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo expressed his commitment to supporting the local Department of Education in improving the quality of education and providing the corresponding needs of learners.
 
He also urged teachers to continue imparting proper etiquette and good conduct since most learners have forgotten their values and respect for people. Gustilo hoped the beneficiaries would use the equipment properly, especially in developing the students.
 
Leonardo U. Dumago Jr., JLNHS Principal II, and Belinda B. Teo, TSES Principal, said the equipment would help develop potential and skilled students; thanked the LGU-San Carlos for the support given.
 
Roda C. Ramas, ADT Class President, also added the equipment would showcase the beauty and culture of the city through arts.
 
SP Member Victoriana C. Cabili, Education, Arts, and Culture Committee Chair; OIC Schools Division Superintendent Dennis G. Develos of the Department of Education-San Carlos City Division; Division Education Program Supervisor in MAPEH Bernard M. Laguda; Ronnie D. Vierneza, Administrative Officer IV for Property and Supply; Jocelyn A. Tabares, Public School District Supervisor (PSDS)-Cluster 10; and Cresencio B. De Asis Jr. PSDS-Cluster 8 were present during the said turnover.
