City Holds SGLG Mock Validation
MAY 20, 2023
The local government of San Carlos City mimicked a validation for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2023 yesterday, May 19, at the SCC Multi-Purpose Hall.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government(DILG)-San Carlos City led the mock validation with the assistance of the City Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office (CPDCO).
Atty. Pierra Fuentespina-Lamayo said the mock validation on the city’s 2022 performance is important for the heads of the local departments to know what other documents are lacking and acquiring them before the Regional Assessment Team (RAT) validation on June 1.
Lamayo added there are still documents needed to accomplish but are doable, and she is optimistic that the city will get the seal for the seventh time.
The Seal of Good Local Governance is an annual validation for local government units focusing on the 10 indicators: financial administration; disaster preparedness; social protection and sensitivity; health compliance and responsiveness; sustainable education; safety, peace, and order; environmental management; tourism, heritage development, culture, and the arts; and youth development.
