OFW Federation Leads Fun Run

The San Carlos City Overseas Filipino Workers (SCC OFW) Federation, in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), led the Fun Run for a Cause early this morning, May 20.
At least 250 joined the fun run which started at the SCC Multi-Purpose Hall in Park Marina and ended in front of city hall.
The top five finishers Rosalio Reantoco, Rodolfo Gatungay, Jemuel Cantiga, Arc Compas, and John Renan Jumag, received water bottles as prizes.
Nicol John Dingding, SCC OFW Federation auditor and chairman of the event, said the registration fees collected from the participants for P50 each, will be used to finance their proposed livelihood projects; will also focus on providing school supplies to children in the far-flung barangays.
Dingding thanked the city officials headed by Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo for thei support and the participants for helping them raised money and make their projects possible.
The federation also hoped to conduct feeding programs.
PESO Manager Mariel Avenir thanked the participants who made efforts to help realize the federation’s projects and improve their status. She also reminded them the event was just the beginning of their plans.
