SCCTC Members Present Awards to Mayor Gustilo

The members of the San Carlos City Table Tennis Club (SCCTTC) presented their awards to City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo today, May 24, at the City Mayor’s Office.
Said team represented the city during the 1st Mayor Darel Dexter T. Uy National Invitational Table Tennis Tournament at Dipolog Sports Complex, Olingan, Dipolog City on May 18–21, 2023, where 5 of 10 representatives of the city garnered medals, trophies, and cash prizes ranging from P1,000 to P3,000.
Hammet Baynosa bagged the gold medal for boys 10 under category; Christine Deiver Gabrinez placed 1st runner up for the girls 14 under; Sheriel Denise Siaboc, 2nd runner up for the girls 14 under; Febe Jeanne Magalona, 2nd runner for the women’s open; and Jana Selene Sayson, 2nd for the girls 10 under.
Brian Gerard Juntela, SCCTC Head Coach, said they visited the mayor so their achievements in said sports will be recognized not only during the tournament.
He added the club’s participation in the tournament showed that the city has a great counterpart and contribution in the whole table tennis community.
Juntela thanked the local government unit of San Carlos for the support.
The players also shared they are happy to represent the city and thanked Mayor Gustilo for always supporting them.
Dennis Peñalosa of the City Sports Office was also present during their presentation of awards.
