Residents of said barangay were assessed by representatives of the Local Civil Registry (LCR) in partnership with the PSA where 30 residents were able to have their birth certificates registered.

 

Barangay Prosperidad Kagawad Mario Masaba of Barangay Prosperidad was thankful for the said program to have reached their barangay since many residents in the area don’t have birth certificates or not registered yet.

 

City Civil Registrar Rudy Estrellanes said that the local government is really trying to reach out to people especially those in the mountainous areas so they can avail of the said program.

 

Estrellanes said the PBRAP aimed at assisting individuals with PSA negative certifications or who are not yet registered, especially the Indigenous People (IPs) to have birth certificate; addressing questions pertaining to specific issues especially corrections of entry or wrong spelling of names among others, so they will be guided accordingly.
