Regional Training Center Chief Eudina David brought up the scholarship during his meeting with City Administrator Atty. Estefanio S. Libutan Jr. and PESO Manager Designate Mariel Avenir and staff, yesterday, May 24, 2023.

 

Chief David said the TESDA Training for Work Scholarships Program (TESDA-TWSP) is intended for the residents in San Carlos City and funded thru the Office of Cong. Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. will be facilitated by the Public Employment Service Office.

 

She added the course includes the repair of mobile phones, LED TVs, and consumer-related electronic products like electric fans, washing machines, electric iron, and others, which will be a big help in giving the scholars the skills, training, knowledge, and attitude; create income and livelihood after they pass and graduate from the course.

 

Training Specialists from TESDA-Regional Training Center will train the scholars for 33 days, while the TESDA Provincial Office will assess them after the training at the Assessment Center in Talisay City.

 

PESO staff Amid Elnas, TESDA trainers Pablito Babol Jr. and Danilo Arce, and TESDA RTC Registrar II Ellen Jane Simogbuhan were also present in the meeting.
