PDEA Awards San Carlos City

The city government of San Carlos was awarded by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 6 during its 17th Founding Anniversary held in Iloilo City yesterday, Sept. 2, 2019.

City Mayor Renato Gustilo was given the Certificate of Appreciation for extending logistical and operational support in the Anti-Drug Campaign efforts of the PDEA provincial office while the city government was given the Plaque of Recognition for its full support in the Anti-Drug Campaign of the PDEA Provincial Office and for the successful implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

So far, out of the 18 barangays, San Carlos City has cleared three including Barangays Nataban, San Juan and Ermita while drug clearing program is now on-going at Barangays Codcod and Quezon.
Said award was presented to City Mayor Gustilo at his office this morning by members of the San Carlos City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (SCCADAC) including DILG LGOO V Steve Yap, City Health Officer Dr. Arniel Laurence Portuguez, CSWD Officer Cynthia Mirande and SCCADAC Secretaries Ma. Novah Sollesta & Mitos Vepinoza.
In Negros Occidental, only two cities were awarded by PDEA in Negros Occidental, Silay and San Carlos City.
