San Carlos City Residents Oriented on African Swine Fever

|Hog raisers, farm owners and academe attends the African Swine Flu Orientation at C. Alger Community Center,
Dr. Jeff Reonal, City Veterinarian discussed the effects of ASF on the economy and the preventive measures the city had undertaken to prevent the disease from entering the community.
Reonal told participants to buy pork meat which has undergone inspection by the slaughterhouse department and to stop feeding their hogs with pigswill.
Dr. Donna Lyn Gabay, Extension Veterinarian of Universal Feed Mill Corp. and Dr. Ma. Lee Calunsod, Veterinarian of the Bureau of Animal Industry Veterinary Quarantine Services of Negros Occidental province were the resource speakers who talked about bio-security methods and animal quarantine.
