City Government Hones Workers
The city government of San Carlos thru the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted free trainings for at least 150 individuals in the fields of Housekeeping NC II, Welding NC II and Contact Center Service NC II which started last Nov. 18, 2019.

PESO Community Training for Employment Coordinator (CTEC) Erel Lim cited that said program aimed at honing the skills of workers in said course programs and be accredited by the TESDA to beef up their qualifications.
He added that the city thru the PESO wanted to equip individuals especially the unemployed in the city with skills on the said various courses including cookery to eventually create a pool of proficient individuals and make San Carlos City as the capital city of skilled workers in Negros.
Said project is in coordination with the Technical Education & Skills Development Authority (TESDA) funded by the city government at P1.8M for 150 participants in the three courses/trainings conducted in different batches.
Each course requires the participants to complete the 436 hours for the housekeeping; 18 days for the Contact Center Service and one month & ½ for welding.
Lim added that the Contact Center Service training is expected to be finished before Dec. 8, 2019 to have the participants joined in the Job Fair slated on that date while the Housekeeping and Welding before the Christmas day.
