Re-elected San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo together with other re-elected and new Sangguniang Panlungsod Members led by Vice-Mayor Christopher Paul S. Carmona publicly took their oath of office and pinning ceremonies last June 30 at the city hall ground.

Representative of the 1st District of Negros Occidental Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. also joined them together with members of his family.
Vice-Mayor Carmona in his message reiterated his full support to Gustilo and wished him well as Gustilo starts his second term of office with many pressing concerns and issues to address especially with the effect of the still ongoing pandemic.
Carmona also thanked the electorate for keeping their trust in him and the whole legislative council. He also thanked the local government workers for their valuable service especially during the onset of the pandemic for keeping everybody in the city safe.
On the other hand, Gustilo in his inaugural address dwelled on continuing various projects for the city including the long circumferential road going to the boulevard, the sewerage network system and the grand sports complex as well as provide the needed assistance to various sectors in the community.
Gustilo also spoke that in his second term of office he wants to be the mayor who brings solution to every challenge and that he is open to suggestions from imaginative, passionate, supportive and mission-focused people especially the heads of various local departments whom he considered as great thinkers.
He also thanked and commended local government workers for being well-disciplined and for having competitive ideas needed to help him push forward while sustaining good practices as the city also celebrates its 62nd Charter Day Anniversary today, July 1.
Said event was witnessed by the city officials’ families, friends and invited guests while the government employees’ night also followed where government workers enjoyed the sumptuous dinner and the program presentation especially the door prizes.
