San Carlos Eyes Hall of Fame for Good Governance

The city government of San Carlos already anticipated for the hall of fame award after the evaluation conducted for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) yesterday by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Bird Monitoring Development in Sipaway, Presented

The bird monitoring activity of the Philippine Biodiversity Conservation Foundation Inc. (PBCFI) at Sipaway Island in San Carlos city was brought forward to the city mayor yesterday.

The Head of In-Sity Conservation Program of PBCFI Philip Godfrey Jakosalem led the presentation of said development which was able to monitor the island’s shoreline within three days (Jan. 18-20, 2017) and found 599 water-birds present comprising of 20 species.

City Gets Fund for Children’s Nutrition

The city government of San Carlos thru City Mayor Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. received the check worth P1.4M from Nona Tad-y, Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Reg. VI of the Department of Health (DOH) during the turn-over held May 11, 2017 at the City Mayor’s Office.

Said fund will be used in the implementation of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) in the First 1,000 Days program of the DOH that aimed at improving the health and nutritional status of the Filipino children from aged zero to two years old especially of those pregnant women or families under the Pantawid, Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the government.

City Health Office Receives Medicines From the US

The city government of San Carlos thru the City Health Office (CHO) received boxes of medicines from the U.S. last May 5, 2017.

Said donation came from the Aid for Orphanage Relief Foundation (AORF) and facilitated by Dr. Ann Celeste Mapas-Dimaya, a native of San Carlos who is now based in the US and daughter of Mr. Leon and Mrs. Teresita Mapas.
