The first batch of graduates for the Department of Education - Alternative Learning System (ALS), Division of San Carlos City for the first half of 2015 was presented during its graduation rites last August 29, 2015 at Brgy. Codcod gym.

Thirty one (31) graduates finished the six month Information and Communications Technology Training and Development Program offered by ALS held at Brgy. Codcod facilitated by Jovel Leduna, Education Program Specialist II of ALS.

Leduna said the 31 graduates were the first batch of said computer training at Brgy. Codcod after it was transferred from the 2nd floor of the Public Market, giving the youth at said barangay and other nearby barangays the chance to attend computer classes near them.

Said batch started last February 2015 while the formal sessions for the second batch commenced last August 24, 2015.

City Mayor Gerardo P. Valmayor, Jr. said the computer course offered by ALS has continuously exist for quite a time already to assist the youth who opt to study vocational computer courses.

He said the trainings in computer offered by ALS can be very useful especially that computer skills or knowledge is important when applying for work these days.

Also present at said event among others were Public Schools District Supervisor Gerardo Limpio and District Alternative Learning School Coordinator for District III Peter Yap.
