BFP Presents New Fire Truck

The San Carlos City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) presented their new fire truck after the flag ceremony at the city hall this morning.
BFP Chief Inspector Kim Celisio showed the city officials how the said firefighting vehicle functions with an actual demonstration.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Marilou Dela Cruz said the new firefighting vehicle has a capacity of 4,000 liters or 1,000 gallons of water and costs P11,988,000.
Fire Officer 1 Eric Acuesta on the other hand said that the latest fire truck they have is the super tanker provided by the city government 13 years ago while the other unit from the national government was given during the 1980’s.
The new fire truck brings the city’s BFP firefighting vehicles to a total of four of which three are operational while one is presently undergoing full body repair.
Other localities in Negros Occidental which received new fire trucks from the BFP of the Department of the Interior & Local Government include the cities of Bacolod, Talisay, and Escalante and the municipalities of La Carlota and Pulupandan.
