tation of award at his office, yesterday

Awards presented include being top 2 in terms of numbers of adolescents reached in the implementation of Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) Program and top 3 component city for achieving 143% of couples/individuals reached in the implementation of Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) Program for 2020 in its contribution to the goals and objectives of the Philippine Population Management Program (PPMP) in Western Visayas.
The city was also recognized for generating 264% in New Family Planning (FP) Acceptors and prompt report submission of RPFP Program. Said awards were handed over to the CHO staff last Jan. 25-26.
Gretel Fegidero, City Population Officer Designate of the City Health Office said that aside from the rigid implementation of the said programs, they will also focus on strengthening the city’s advocacy - to reach out to every family and educate them about the importance of family planning.
Fegidero also said the award wouldn’t be possible if not for the effort of midwives, Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs) and barangay health workers.
Other CHO staff who presented said awards include Rowena Sabangan, Nurse Supervisor; Sharon Valderrama, Medical Technologist and Fegidero.
Last year, POPCOM also awarded San Carlos City as 2019’s Most Supportive LGU in the implementation of AHD Program.
