CHO Continues Orientation on COVID-19 Vaccination
The City Health Office (CHO) continued its information drive among barangay representatives regarding COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination in the four rural barangays last March 8-10, 2021.
Close to 400 individuals participated in the briefing in Barangays Codcod, Quezon, Prosperidad, Nataban and San Juan and Ermita in Sipaway Island.
CHO Nurse Supervisor Rowena Sabangan and Health Education and Promotion Officer Gretel Fegidero assured the people that the vaccine provided by the government is for protection and to lower risk of infection.
Sabangan and Fegidero also advised the participants to be open-minded, set an example and relay important information they acquired during the activity to the rest of the community as frontliners.
Ben Louel Martinez, San Carlos City Hospital Nurse also helped in informing and addressing concerns of barangay representatives during the open forum.
Jenelyn Estriba, Barangay Health Worker of So. Maglunod, Barangay Quezon, said that before the conduct of the information drive she already fixed her mind to get vaccinated since her existing medical condition makes her vulnerable to COVID-19 and being vaccinated is her only protection against it. She was also grateful for the additional knowledge provided by the health authorities during the orientation.
