CSWD of San Carlos as 3rd Most Gender Responsive LGU

The City Social and Welfare Development (CSWD) of San Carlos ranked as third Most Gender Responsive LGU (GeRL Ka Ba?) during the Provincial Council for Women Mid-Year Assembly at Nature’s Village, Talisay last September 12, 2019.

The Gender Responsive LGU (GeRL Ka Ba?) is a self-assessment instrument that is implemented for the 150 local government units nationwide to draw information on the gender-responsive efforts and practices of cities and municipalities.

As a result of the self-assessment, San Carlos City garnered a GeRL rating of 4.65/5 and participation rating of 32.2/50 indicating an advanced state of gender responsiveness and a systematic approach to Gender Equality and Women Empowerment.

Present at the event were Cynthia Mirande, Gender Focal Point System (GFPS) Focal Person, Janice Carmona, president of San Carlos City Children and Women’s Affair Inc. (SCCAWAI) along with its delegates received the awards consisting of three plaques.
