CST-R Student Awarded by PHLPost
Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos student in Gr. 10 Daniela Katrina Pauline Purisima received an award from Philippine Postal Corporation Area 6, yesterday, July 24 after winning 3rd Place in the Letter Writing Competition in the national level.

Said award was handed to Purisima by Atty. Benjie S. Yotoko, CPA and PhilPost Area Director-Area 6 together with Diosdado Teves, Supervising Postal Officer for Negros Province and Siquijor during a short rite inside the CST-R campus
Purisima together with Christian Carl Damondamon of Julio Ledesma National High School and Lexine Dela Torre of Roxas City represented Western Visayas in said competition participated by 27 contestants held at GSIS Museo ng Sining in Pasay City last March 8, 2019.Purisima and Damondamon battled it out during the preliminaries held locally and in the region before making it to the national level.Purisima said that she wrote about her unconditional love for her lola (grandmother) who served as her mentor and took care of her since she was little.Ma. Victoria B. Flores, Postmaster II of PHLPost San Carlos who was also given the loyalty award during said rite for her 30 years in service with the agency said that their office was very happy and proud because it was the first time that representative from San Carlos City made it to the national competition and won.Flores also cited that the contest was under the Nationwide Letter Writing Advocacy Program of PHLPost in coordination with the Department of Education carrying the theme Salamat Po, Teacher which aimed at awakening the interests of students about letter writing.
