San Carlos City Evaluated by the DILG on its Performance
The city government of San Carlos in Negros Occidental was evaluated on its performance by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) thru the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) yesterday, Aug. 27, 2019

The evaluating team composed of DILG-Local Government Operation Officer (LGOO) V Gretchen Mae D. Corrales and LGOO III Ma. Vanessa C. Borja accompanied by Maria Fatima Daiz, LGOO VII verified the city's capacity in handling the sectors of Financial Administration, Social Protection, Peace and Order, Environmental Management, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Tourism Culture & the Arts, and Disaster Preparedness.
Corrales lauded San Carlos City for its very good and functional policies on various sectors especially on the environmental management and disaster preparedness which other cities are striving to emulate. She added that the city has always been very consistent in implementing policies the national government require.
City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo on the other hand said that the city government always see to it that deficiency in any sector of governance is always corrected to improve the kind of services provided to the people.
The city was evaluated for the fifth time for the year 2018 and has been a consistent winner since 2014.
The SGLG evaluation by the DILG aimed at recognizing local government units that implement government policies and showed dedication in providing good public service thru its best practices in good governance.
