The Tech4Ed center managers underwent a 4-day Trainer’s Training on Basic Course Computer Operations at Consuelo Community Center, Brgy. Rizal, Feb. 9-12, 2016.

Project-In-Charge Jesus Sildura of the Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Office (CLDO) said the training aimed at preparing said managers in marketing the Tech4Ed services to clients and enhancing their knowledge and skills in computer operations and Microsoft office software.

Program Specialist II Jovel Leduna of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) of the Department of Education (DepEd) said that the training helped equip managers with relevant skills in transferring knowledge to learners.

Said program will also enable individuals and communities get access to information, technology, government services, skills trainings, jobs and business opportunities among others.

Brgy. Codcod was the first barangay in operation for said program as the Tech4Ed opened at said site last Dec. 7, 2016 while Barangays I, Rizal and Buluangan were also part of said project’s pilot implementers.

Said training was in partnership with the Information and Communications technology Office of the Department of Science and Technology, Information Technology Computer Services Office, DepEd and ALS.
