San Carlos City to Launch EU Integrity for Jobs Project

After the establishment of the Integrity Circle (IC) and Technical Working Group (TWG) in San Carlos City with department and division heads, business and civil society organizations undergoing seminars and workshops, Partnerships for Integrity and Jobs (I4J) will be officially launched on March 14, 2016.

I4J Focal Person of the city Atty. Ma. Chat Delima, Officer-in-Charge of the Office for Human Resource Management said the launching will start with an early mass at the cathedral followed by a motorcade.
At 10:00 o’clock the program proper will commence at the SP Session Hall to welcome the more than 150 guests from the province, representatives from National Agencies based in San Carlos City, religious sector, business sector, Civil Society Organization (CSO), Office of the Ombudsman Region 6, League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) and the project manager of I4J.

Delima, added that text lines and transparent box for suggestions and feedback will also be introduced to the public but the highlight for said event will be the signing of Integrity Pledge between the government sector, CSO and the business sector.

I4J is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development thru Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), a German Political foundation which will serve as supervising and partner bodies for integrity in good local governance which comprises the local government unit, business sector and CSO.
The project aimed at creating model LGUs of transparent, effective small business and investment registration and promotion procedures that will benefit citizens dependent on local services to eventually create more jobs, eliminate corruption and reduce poverty.
Successful implementation of said project is expected to make it model for replication in other cities in the country.
