San Carlos City Hits National Wildlife Quiz Bowl

Students from Colegio de Sta. Rita Jyd Maasin and Natalie Marie Tan will represent San Carlos City in the upcoming National Wildlife Quiz Bowl which will be held at John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, Bacolod City on Nov. 26, 2016.

Said move followed after said students won 2nd place in the 11th Provincial Wildlife Quiz participated by 64 secondary schools in the whole Negros Occidental Province held at La Consolacion College in Bacolod City last Nov. 12, 2016.

Said event is part of the city government of San Carlos thru the City Environment Management Office’s participation to the 12th Provincial Wildlife Month celebration for the whole month of November where the city will continue to share its commitment in conserving nature.

The city is set to join in the photo exhibits of its own conservation areas at the Provincial Capitol on Nov. 24-25, 2016, where an animal foot parade and cultural show will also take place on the 25th and will be represented by the students of Julio Ledesma National High School.

The San Carlos City Association of Mountain Bikers (SCCAMB) will also take part in the Tour of the Fireflies from Bacolod City to Cadiz City on Nov. 27, 2016,

Meanwhile, San Carlos City will also open its weeklong 6th Localized Wildlife Celebration with a photo exhibit on Nov. 21, 2016 at Gaisano Capital-San Carlos in pertinence to the province’s Philippine Bird Festival theme.
