San Carlos City Joins Earth Hour 2017

The city government of San Carlos thru Resolution No. 17-64 prepares for the upcoming Earth Hour 2017 by enjoining all barangays, establishments, households and the general public to participate and cooperate in said event set on March 25, 2017.

Said resolution urges for the strong participation of all concerned in the switching off or dimming of non-essential lights including street lights, signage and key monuments during the global “lights out” at 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening.

Engr. Arthur Batomalaque, Environmental Management Specialist II of the City Environment Management Office said that their office already distributed leaflets to the community regarding said event and has tapped local key agencies for other arrangements.

San Carlos City’s observance of Earth Hour is now on its 6th year.

Said worldwide event which is in its 10th year anniversary now encourages the global community to take action against global warming where participation to said cause enables cities and municipalities to show its commitment towards protecting the environment from climate change.
