Pensioners Revalidated by GSIS-Bacolod

At least 74 pensioners of San Carlos City appeared at the San Carlos City Hall for the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS)- Bacolod Annual Pensioners Revalidation (APIR) program, today.

Allen Bacay, GSIS Acting Staff Officer III led the team of six GSIS staff in the APIR caravan that addressed said revalidation of pensioners’ status and queries pertaining to pensions.

Bacay said the program was set for pensioners’ aged 79 years old and below so they would no longer go to the GSIS office in Bacolod City for said revalidation while those 80 years and above will have to be house visited by the GSIS staff in coordination with the Philippine Postal Authority.

He added that aside from their monthly pensions, pensioners aged 90 will be complimented with cash gift amounting to P20,000; P30,000 for those aged 95; and P50,000 for those that reached 100 years.

The APIR program is the previous Annual Renewal Active Status (ARAS) of the GSIS which calls on pensioners to have their status validated. Said program directs pensioners whose birthdays fall between Jan. 1-June 30 to have a once a year validation while those within the months of July 1-Dec. 31 will undergo two validations.

Said activity was facilitated by the San Carlos City Accounting and Internal Audit Services Office.
