The Bureau of Fire Protection-San Carlos City (BFP-San Carlos) toured at least 50 Grade 5 & 6 pupils of School of the Future (SOF) today, March 11, as part of Fire Prevention Month activities.

FO3 Joseph Earl Solivio, Chief Investigative and Intelligence Unit, said they organized the tour to let the children experience being a firefighter and inspire them to become one someday.

Solivio added that the BFP personnel also taught the children and their teachers how to perform CPR and Exit Drill in the home (EDITH).

He also urged the public to be cautious; turn off the circuit breakers before leaving the house; and properly dispose of cigarette butts, the cause of more than 15 fire incidents in the first quarter of 2024.
