San Carlos City Amateur Boxing Team Selection was declared overall champion during the culmination of the Charter Day Anniversary Invitational Amateur Boxing Championships yesterday afternoon, July 19, at San Carlos City Auditorium.

The champion team won 9 gold and 9 silver medals in the 18 bouts consisting of three categories, the Kid-Age 40kgs., Junior and Youth.

Himamaylan City was declared 1st runner-up with three gold and one silver medals, while Bago City bagged the 2nd runner-up with one gold and five silver medals.

Victorias City was 3rd runner-up with two gold and two silver medals; the municipality of Binalbagan got 1 gold medal.

Meanwhile, Ken Semellano and Rex Bais of Bago City (kids and junior category) and Christian Sendilo of Victorias City (youth category) were declared best boxers.

Winners received also plaques.
