At least 100 women in San Carlos City started training on the Elevate Artificial Intelligence Data Annotation (AIDA) Program yesterday, Aug. 5, at the Tech4ED Center.
The 15-day online comprehensive training focused on structured courses, including data annotation and digital skills, with a daily training allowance provided during the training period.
On day 1, beneficiaries focused on remote worker assessments. AIDA aimed at providing unemployed, displaced, and disadvantaged women with employment with a flexible work plan and environment in their respective homes.
San Carlos City and Municipality of Calatrava, along with partners Aboitiz Foundation, Aboitiz Power, Connected Women, Department of the Interior & Local Government, Philippine Commission on Women, and Negros Occidental provincial government, launched the program on July 2, 2024.
ITCSO Information System Analyst II Felix Michael S. Oberes said the beneficiaries, single parents, unemployed, senior citizens, and PWDs belong to the vulnerable sector and meet the program qualifications.
Oberes added that Connected Women would facilitate the 15-day comprehensive online training and provide them with jobs as home-based data annotators afterwards.
Before the training, beneficiaries were instructed on digital tasks, training schedules, the beginning of Connected Women (online skills development and remote work opportunities provider for women), and hands-on training.
