The new set of San Carlos City Children and Women’s Affair Inc. (SCCCAWAI) officers for the year 2024-2026 took their oath before San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo today, Jan. 18, at the City Mayor’s Office.

The new set of officers includes Ma. Consuelo Janice Carmona of the Hospital sector as president, Ma. Novah Sollesta of the Business sector as the new vice-president, Brgy. 3 Kagawad Rhea Jane Gustilo as the new secretary, Brgy. 1 Kagawad Ma. Theressa Dela Torre as treasurer, Vidal Bordaje of the Senior/Elderly Sector as auditor, Ma. Angelie Operio of the local Philippine National Police as PIO, and 7 new Board of Directors, including Brgy. Rizal Kagawad Michell Marie Esperancilla, Brgy. 5 Kagawad Fritz Bacurnay, Brgy. 4 Kagawad Jade Deocampo, Brgy. 2 Kagawad Ma. Magdalena Galbines, Brgy. Bagonbon Kagawad Landine Cañabano, Brgy. Punao Kagawad Danilo Mole, and Brgy. Ermita Kagawad Cristy Favores.

Mayor Gustilo congratulated the group and reminded them to be a responsible officer.

SCCCAWAI President Carmona also assured everyone that they will empower the women’s sector more, especially at the barangay level; shared the Provincial Council for Women (PCW) will also conduct trainings that will be beneficial to the barangays.

Carmona also invited everyone to join the celebration of National Women’s Month this coming March at the City Auditorium; she also thanked the local government unit thru Mayor Gustilo, SP members headed by Vice-Mayor Christopher Paul S. Carmona, Congressman Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr., PCW, and Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson for the support given.

The SCCCAWAI staff and officers with SP Member-Committee Chair on Women and Family Victoriana C. Cabili also paid courtesy to Vice-Mayor Carmona at the City Vice-Mayor’s Office.
