The Technology for Education, Employment, Entrepreneurs, and Economic Development (Tech4ED) Project evolved from the Philippines Community eCenter Program, a national digital inclusion initiative establishing eCenters that provide critical e-government and ICT-enabled services in communities with minimal or no access to information and government services.

Aims to empower special sectors through access to necessary skills training content in answer to specific Industry needs.

The Tech4ED Program would like to tap different kinds of stakeholders coming from various sectors of the society. This includes DepEd, Public Libraries, LGU, NGO, NGA, and other private partners.

Ideally, Tech4ED centers should be where target customers can flock. Specifically, in barangays, public libraries. FITS centers, schools, cooperatives, associations of PWDs and/or senior citizen centers amongst others.

We will provide:

  • Facilitators for center manager training on:
    – Marketing and its materials
    – Business model
    – Center operations
    – Platform utilization
  • The platform and content
  • Access to other government services

The Tech4ED centers requirements are, but not limited to:

  • Office Space – not smaller than 20sqm
  • WiFi connectivity nd router – at least 1 router
  • Three (3) computers
  • Three (3) computer tablets with chair
  • Three (3) tables a d chairs (for users who will bring their own laptop)
  • Signages
  • One (1) Personnel
  • SB/BP Resolution (LGU)
  • To follow the operating hours:
  • Monday to Saturday for at least 8 consecutive hours with 1 rest day and Sunday for 5 hours
