The colorful Pintaflores Festival of San Carlos City was the 2nd place winner in the Panaad sa Negros Best of Festival Dances Competition city category last night, April 15, at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

San Carlos, which also bagged the P75,000 cash prize, competed against the 8 other local government units in the said category.

Meanwhile, Victorias City’s Sidlak Kadalag-an Festival was the 1st place winner with a cash prize of P100,000; Silay’s Kansilay Festival got P50,000 as 3rd place winner; Udyakan Festival of Kabankalan City was 4th place with a P30,000 cash prize; and Sinigayan Festival of Sagay got P20,000 as 5th place winner.

Victorias City also received the Best Festival Video Introduction award with a P20,000 prize.

San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo said in his official Facebook page post that he was amazed by the performance of the Pintaflores Festival dancers with their vibrant costumes, which surely captivated the spectators.

He was thankful for the efforts of the dancers and the people behind the scenes, which contributed to the success.

Several employees of the local government of San Carlos also watched and cheered during the competition, which boosted the energy and inspired the performers at the stadium.

Last year, Pintaflores Festival was only 4th place in the 2023 Panaad sa Negros Best of Festival Dances Competition.
