The Bureau of Fire Protection conducted a clean-up drive in So. Mabuni, Brgy. Guadalupe, early this morning, March 9, in line with the Observance of Fire Prevention Month.

Representatives of the City Environment Management Office, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine National Police-San Carlos (PNP), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Art Nature Manufacturing Phils. Inc.-San Carlos Branch, City Hardware, San Carlos Bioenergy, Inc. (SCBI), San Carlos Sun Power Inc. (SACASUN), NONECO-San Carlos, and Gaisano Capital also participated in the activity where they collected 15 sacks of garbage such as tin cans, discarded clothes, and plastics bottles.

Fire Officer III Joseph Earl Solivio, on behalf of Fire Chief Inspector Reynan Gecana, said they not only respond to emergencies but also ensure that they contribute to environmental sustainability.

Solivio added the activity is one of their preventive measures against floods caused by piled-up garbage.

He also thanked the local government unit of San Carlos, Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo, and participants for the continuous support of their program.
