Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo gave an additional P35,000 to the prizes earned by San Carlos City representatives this afternoon, May 6, at the City Auditorium, for their outstanding performance during the 2024 Panaad sa Negros Festival.

With him were Executive Assistant IV, Airene Noel Gustilo, and Tourism Operations Officer I, Jennifer Saballa-Paran.

Participants in Folk Dance, Drum Beating, and Latin Dancesport competitions received P5,000 as consolation prizes, but Mayor Gustilo increased it by another P5,000, making it P10,000 for each group.

Tribu Euzkara, San Carlos City’s representative that secured 2nd place during the Festival Dance winning a P75,000 prize, was also given an additional P20,000 by Gustilo making it P95,000 in total.

Jackielou Panerio of Julio Ledesma National High School (JLNHS) thanked Mayor Gustilo on behalf of Tribu Euzkara for his support.

Gustilo also thanked the participants for representing San Carlos City with pride, encouraging them to strive for even better performances next year.
